Iceland Iceland is an island in Northern Europe located between the Greenland Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, and is northwest of the Great Britain. Its winters are long and fairly mild with summers short and cool. The landscape in Iceland is mostly plateau with some occasional mountain peaks scattered and has some bays and ice fields. In Iceland, the population contains about 94% Norse and Celts mixture, and those of foreign origin are about 6%.The main confusion is the name Iceland percieves this image that it is a place made of ice but instead is very green since it has active volcanic land.
